Synopsis: Connect with fellow young professionals at IEEE EPEC 2018! Kathleen Kauth, Director of Transactive Energy at Peak Power, will speak about her company and offer career advice for young professionals. Expand your network and learn from your peers as you mingle over light refreshments.

Speaker:

Kathleen Kauth is the Director of Transactive Energy at Peak Power, a Toronto-based software start-up focused on leveraging big data and machine learning to optimize distributed energy resources and energy use for its customers.

Previous to Peak, Kathleen was the Director of Partnerships for the Advanced Energy Centre at MaRS. While there, she worked with large energy companies to help them develop their innovation capacity. Kathleen originally got her start in cleantech at a solar development and project aggregation firm, Blackstone Energy Solutions, based in Toronto. Kathleen’s roles there included business development, financial modelling and project management.

Kathleen graduated with a degree in biology/ pre-med from Brown University, which she followed up with a Master’s in Public Health. She has also passed all three levels of the CFA program and will be eligible for the CFA charter upon completion of the required work experience.

Kathleen is an Olympic bronze medalist, playing for Team USA in Torino 2006. She is also a World Championship gold and silver medalist with team USA.
